The man behind Syauqi Group, Dato’ Mohd Subri bin Md Isa is an entrepreneur and businessman who own a broad spectrum of businesses with over 36 years of extensive experience in interior construction and management.
Dato’ Mohd Subri attended University of Putra Malaysia where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Forestry in 1989 and Diploma in Education Science in 1985. After graduation, he started his career at Beaufurn Sdn. Bhd. for 3 years with the position of Project Manager before joining Land & General Berhad (Land Furniture) as its Project Manager. Later he served as Project Manager at Malaysia Wood Sdn. Bhd. for 4 years before he co founded Syauqi Group.
With passion, knowledge and extensive experience, Dato’ Mohd Subri began his entrepreneurial journey by
co founded the company with his wife, Datin Noraini binti Bharom in 26th July 1999 where they started building their empire from scratch.
Dato’ Mohd Subri is currently the Managing Director of Syauqi Excellent Sdn. Bhd. With his entrepreneurial vision and strategic leadership skills, he is focused on growing the core businesses of the Group, leveraging on the differentiated strengths of its talent pool. The strategies for the Group have resulted in a sustained period of growth in revenues and earnings in each of its core businesses.
On 24th October 2011, he was conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Pahang which carries the title Dato’ by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Pahang.
Apart from businesses, Dato’ Mohd Subri is currently appointed as the President of the Parents and Teachers Association of Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Abdul Halim (SMSAH) Jitra, Kedah and has been since actively involved in SMSAH activities such as rugby club, providing scholarship and donations for the school development.
Founder and Manager of Syauqi Enterprise, Datin Noraini binti Bharom received her Bachelor of Human Development from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 1988. Growing up in Felda Hutan Percha, Melaka, she started the company 21 years ago with a vision to establish it as one of the well-known construction company in Malaysia as well as in international arena.
Under Datin Noraini development, Syauqi Enterprise has since grown and trusted by many reputable clients such as Menara Kuala Lumpur, Telekom Malaysia Berhad, UiTM, QSR Brands, LADA, MARA, JKR, MPSJ, MRT, JPS, MBSA, HUKM, LHDN, MAIWP, HDC, POS Malaysia and Coca-Cola Bottles (M) Sdn Bhd. It started off with only less than ten employees, but now Syauqi Enterprise hiring more than 100 employees.
Datin Noraini is a risk taker and confident person, she never hesitates to grab hold of new business opportunities. She intends to bring Syauqi Enterprise to the international arena and become top construction company.
Never one to forget her roots, Datin Noraini continuously gives back to society. She involves in various charity events and people in need. In 2010, Datin Noraini establish a non-profit organisation, Sekolah Rendah Islam Madrasah Tahfiz As-Syauqi. Apart from her business achievement, Datin Noraini is a devoted wife to Dato’ Mohd Subri and a mother to four children.
Nurul Syuhada Dato’ Mohd Subri is the first child of Dato’ Mohd Subri Md. Isa and Datin Noraini Bharom – founder of Syauqi Group and she is the next generation of Syauqi Group’s leadership. A degree holder in Landscape Architecture from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), she began her entrepreneurial journey as early as 23 years old and was appointed as company director on 4th December 2013.
After graduating, she participated in several business management and marketing programs. Among them is the Business Development Program organized by SME@UPM for 3 months where she had opportunity to go to Japan as to take a closer look on its business culture, society and indulge in Japanese culture.
As a Director of Syauqi Group, her main area responsibilities is assisting the Managing Director and Executive Director in managing the financial performance of the company and ensure the company operation running smoothly.
Nurul Syuhada has 8 years of experience in various business management and projects under her own supervision. Apart from assisting Managing Director and Executive Director, she is also responsible for managing corporate planning, finance, marketing, business development departments and special projects where she serves as a leader who responsible for developing and create a superior, excellent and glorious company direction.
Nurul Syuhada intends to bring Syauqi Group to international scene, and want it to be recognised as a world class construction company in Malaysia. Through dedication, passion and the support from her devoted team, Nurul Syuhada is confident that the company will achieve these goals.
Began his entrepreneurial journey at very young age, Muhammad Syauqi Bin Dato’ Mohd Subri had his early business exposure from his father and started his career in entry-level position at the company before climbed his way to the top. Appointed as director of Syauqi Group in 2013, Muhammad Syauqi holds a Masters in Management from University of South Wales, where he earned distinction in his research.
During his studies in United Kingdom, he become a Committee member of Kelab Bunga Raya, where he was appointed as a Floor Manager during a talk with the 4th and 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad.
At Syauqi Group, Muhammad Syauqi is responsible for assisting the managing director, Dato’ Mohd Subri bin Md. Isa in setting the strategy for the growth, direction and monitoring daily operation of the company.
In addition to this role, Muhammad Syauqi also responsible for managing energy saving projects. Muhammad Syauqi believes that employees are the heart of its business, emphasised that they are behind the success of Syauqi Group.
Under his leadership and devoted team, Muhammad Syauqi aims to develop the company becoming one of the top and finest construction company in Malaysia, involving in multiple projects worldwide.
The next generation of Syauqi Enterprise’s leadership, Nurul Wirdah binti Dato’ Mohd Subri is the second daughter of Datin Noraini binti Bharom, founder of the company. As of 11th January 2018, Nurul Wirdah was appointed as Assistant Manager of Syauqi Enterprise.
Born on 4th October 1995, she followed her mother’s footstep, Datin Noraini by attending Universiti Putra Malaysia and graduated excellently with Bachelor Science Human Development and Management.
During her college, Nurul Wirdah successfully obtained several awards. One of her significant achievement at university is she was commissioned as second lieutenant in army for reserve officer training unit by Yang-di Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.
At Syauqi Enterprise, her main area of responsibilities is to assist Datin Noraini by planning, directing, and overseeing the company’s operation. Her mission is to be committed in steering the company forward and achieve the goals.
